Slate’s Trumpcast is one of my can’t-miss podcasts. Before Election Day, I’d listen and enjoy the smart what-if stories about how disastrous a Trump administration would be. It all seemed so ridiculous, but one reason it was so entertaining was because it was a little scary. Jacob Weisberg, the host, is opinionated and still fair. He makes no secret of his position, and he manages to be a precise, curious, witty interviewer. I always feel smarter after listening.
In the weeks since Trump was elected, Weisberg has gotten even better and more dedicated to revealing the truth. The tone of the show got a bit dark right after Nov. 9 (understandably), but it has regained its levity somehow. I heartily recommend it.
