PowerStrip — Must-Have Monitor Tweaker
The only display value you can tweak on my Dell Latitude is brightness — no contrast, no gamma, nothing else. Thanks to Jack, the screen is no longer pale and washed out. After trying PowerStrip and settling on the parameters below, I did a little dance in Jack’s honor. Prepare for real neutral grays and non-washy-outedness (using laptop’s highest hardware brightness setting - 1):
Gamma ramp: Graphic Arts 2.2 Gamma D50 (LUT: 7,488,264)
Gamma: 1.15
Brightness: -260%
Contrast: 60%
Temperature: 6500 K
How do other people live with the default LCD display settings?
