Nothing
My friend Chris at work periodically gives me a mind-nugget that confounds me and/or shakes my knowledge to its foundation. Here’s today’s: When you get some quiet time alone, try to focus and imagine “nothing.” As in, first remove yourself from your imagination (if that’s possible), then take away Earth, the planets, then the sun and stars, galaxies, etc. (It helps if you see the film, “Powers of Ten.”) Maybe you get to pure blackness, or maybe you move beyond that, to where there isn’t even color, space or time at all. When Chris does this he gets the chills. Worth a try…
