I just picked up my first one of these the other day, and I really like it. For some inexplicable reason, it makes me want to write neatly (and I can really use the encouragement).

I agree that the G2 is excellent. As an owner of many G2s, I can tell you that I, who was not even looking for a new delicious pen, am quite pleased with this sudden and unexpected windfall of smooth writing gel pens. Imagine, though, my dismay when I found another pen - an intruder - on my desk at work. A pen much like the G2 - so much like it, I could call this mystery pen an imposter. Or was it? It was the uni-ball Signo rt gel.
After introducing you(phil) to the pen and after many trials - evaluating the click, the writing, the weight, the internal mechanism, the style - I think we can safely say that the brief worry that went through your brain - did you buy the wrong pen? It *is* a uni-ball, after all - passed quickly.
All in all, the G2 is the best choice, and you can rest easy knowing that, indeed, the enemy of your enemy is your pen.
